Gina has a degree from MIT in Geophysics and was a NASA/JPL scientist working on earthquake research and helping design spacecraft experiments. After moving to Utah with her 4 children in the late 90’s, and then losing a tech business in 9/11, she decided to work in the real estate industry.
Her mother was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2006, and during that time, Gina learned that trusts are not always written properly, the incredible value of purchasing long term care insurance, VA aid and attendance benefits, assisted living communities, medicaid and medicare policies, funeral planning issues, memory care and the health industry for seniors. She has read many books on senior living and dying including “Being Mortal”, which discusses the health industry and how we need to change how we service our elderly as they age. She has taken the “Dementia Dialogs” in order to better help her clients with loved ones who have cognitive loss, and is currently working towards a master’s degree in gerontology and an MBA. She is also the VP of the Board of directors for her local Habitat for Humanity, and on the board of the local NAHREP chapter 9National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals).
